LONDON WOOL SALES. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 8, noon.) LONDON, December 7. At the wool sales 7558 bales were offered, including 2536 from New Zealand. A total of 6608 Australian and New Zealand lots were sold. Home and Continental competition was sustained and late rates maintained. New Zealand lots sold as follows: Scoured merinos—Oxford (top price 20£d), average 19*d. LOANS AUTHORITY. Authority for the raising of the following loans has been granted by Order-in-Council: Grey Hospital Board, £29.000 for twenty uears at 3* per cent interest and 3) per cent sinking fund; Ashley County Council, £4OO for twenty years at 3* per cent; Waimakariri River Trust, £12,000 for seven years at 3£ per cent.
