CROWDS FLOCK TO HAY’S WONDERFUL ATTRACTIONS FOR YOUNG AND OLD. Crowds far exceeding all expectations flocked to Hay’s yesterday afternoon and evening; Fairyland and Joyland, the firm’s two fascinating Christmas attractions for young and old, were filled with happy and excited children and their parents. FAIRYLAND Fairyland, which was opened j for the first time yesterday, had a great reception. The children loved the coloured fairy fountain, the tiny white mice on the magic ship, the mechanical singing birds, and, most interesting of all, the miniature circus and fair with its performing clowns, riders, animals, etc., which occupies the whole length of Fairyland. There, too, they saw Father Christmas in the fairy castle; grown-ups and children alike received a gift from him, Fairyland opens daily at 10 a.m., and admission is 6d. JOYLAND. This popular roof gala continues to be crowded. A list of its attractions includes;— A Chairoplane, a Miniature Steam Train, a Switchback, a cage full of real live Monkeys, and “Mutt,” the proprietor of Peanut Hotel, Neddy the Donkey, Ice Cream and Sweets. 3d includes a gift or a ride on one of the side shows, as well as entrance to the roof.
