, £ a t , thelr last meeting for the year, held last night in the club rooms of the Federation of University Women, members of De Cercle Franeais, after’listeiiing to a short address by Madame Alan Just spent the evening in games and a social. Madame Just spoke on " DicHonnaire Fantaislste,” a witty explanation of French words and phrases, with their different meanings and uses. a prize, donated by Madame C. Malthus, for a general knowledge competition in French. Mas won by Mile. Germfquet. M-hile in a competition for reassembling cut-up advertisements Madame D. Sinclair won a prize presented by Madame Just. The hostesses for the evening Mere:—Mesdames C. Malthus and Sidney Thompson and Miss A. Thompson. Among those present were. Mesdames D. Sinclair, Alan Just, Sunlev, \v H Joyce, Miles. P. Gross, Germi'quet 'and Genevieve Bobenrieth; Mr and Mrs C. D. Ridgen; Misses K. Gresson, J.
