AFTERNOON PARTY.
The approaching marriage of Miss Elisabeth Morris and Dr 11. E. W. Roberton has already been heralded by a number of parties given by Miss Morris’s friends. She was again entertained on Wednesday afternoon at a party given by Miss Joan Turnbull, i Holm wood Road, Fendalton. The guests were entertained indoors in a pleasantly informal way, a competition being won by Miss Barbara Bloxam. Useful gifts of coat-hangers and shoe-trees were brought for Miss Morris’s trousseau. Those who enjoyed Miss Turnbull’s hospitality were; Misses Barbara Bloxam, Philippa Acland, Xora Firth, Pauline Upham, Brigit Gresson, Helen Thomson, Celia Reese, Shiela Cordner, Katie Polemedis, Joyce Mac Gibbon, Dorothy Loughnan, Peggy James (Masterton), June Wright, Helen and Xancy Buchanan and Eunoe Thompson.
