BOWLING.
Annual Town v. Country Matches. OVER A HUNDRED RINKS. Over 100 rinks were engaged this afternoon in the annual Town v. Countr> r and Seaside bowling matches, which are held alternately on town and country greens. With 53 rinks on either side, the entry was a record, and as the number of competitors is dependent upon the county entries, the total is an indication of the progress the game is making in rural centres. This year the matches were played on city and suburban greens, seventeen of which were occupied today. Results are as follows, the skips of Town rinks being mentioned first in each instance, together with their club:— United Green. I B.
