(Special to the “ Star.”) DENNISTON, This Day. At a huge meeting of Denniston miners last evening, it was unanimously resolved that telegrams be immediately despatched to the Prime Minister, Mr G. W. Forbes. Mr P. C. Webb, M.P., the lion W. M’lntyre, and the Minister of Employment and the Buller Hospital Board Tor a special grant to relieve the evident distress, starvation and suffering at Denniston due to the short time worked. No union subscription will be taken for the present. and the medical association has been requested to forego its calls for subscriptions.
