OBITUARY.

George Herbert Butler. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 29. The death has occurred of Mr George Herbert Butler, at the age of seventyMr Butler was a retired Civil servant, formerly employed by the Agriculture Department, and was a staunch adherent of the Church of England. He arrived in New Zealand sixty years ago and lived for some years in Southland. Subsequently he moved to Australia and had some experience on the goldfields. Ilis only son was drowned at New Plymouth thirteen years ago. Mr Butler is survived by a widow, a married daughter and four grandsons.
