AIR RACE PILOTS.
Appear at Theatre Royal To-night. Squadron-Leader M. C. M’Gregorand Mr 11. C. Walker, the New Zealand flyers who finished* fifth in the Centenary air race, will appear on the stage at the Theatre Royal to-night only, and give a short talk on their experiences whilst flying from England to Melbourne, Australia. These intrepid airmen have been accorded w’onderful welcomes in the North Island. Considering the universal interest the big race aroused and the fine showing made by M’Gregor and Walker, their appearance here should attract many people to the Theatre Royal. Early this month the newspaper “Aeroplane” said:—“M’Gregor and Walker deserve to be regarded as the heroes of the race. They knocked 30 per cent off the record for a light plane, despite having an open cockpit and the necessity for frequent landings.”
