Despite their attendance at Christ’s College, two youths, C. R. Carey, aged sixteen, and F. Sutton, also aged sixteen, have found time during the past fortnight to build a Takapuna class yacht. The boys began to build the yacht on October 27, and the launching of the Falcon, as the craft has been named, took place at West Lyttelton last evening. Yachtsmen who inspected the craft commented very favourably on the workmanship. To-day the new boat will be given a trial under sail The yacht was built at the residence of Mr W. R. Carey, Cashmere Hills, after school hours and during the early mornings.
