Increase Recorded Each Day. Cash takings on the Christchurch trains have shown an increase each day this week compared with Carnival Week last year. Yesterday the takings amounted to £559, as against £552 on the corresponding day last year, an increase of £7. That was the smallest increase for the week, the aggregate improvement on last year amounting to £197 for the five days up to yesterday.
