A. & P. SHOW.

Judges Impressed by To-day’s Classes. GOOD QUALITY lIORSES. There was keen interest 'in the horse sections, where the judges had some difficult tasks in separating splendid quality animals. The harness cobs and ponies reached a high standard while in the Clydesdale section the younger horses were outstanding. One of the finest specimens of the Clydesdale breed, in the opinion of the judge (Mr Robert Kennedy); was Mr W. J. Doak’s animal, which took first prize in the class for entire horses foaled prior to June 30, 1931. Some good quality colts were forward and were specially noted by the judge for their excellent movements. In summing up his impressions .Mr Kennedy said that the fillies and yearlings were of exceptionally good quality. In the class for harness cobs and ponies the action of a few of the entries was outstanding, otherwise there was little to divide the animals, according to Mr Hunter Morris, of Winchmore, who judged this section. Mr Morris was particularly impressed by the quality of the younger horses, which he considered would fully maintain the reputation for excellence that had been built up at previous shows by the cobs and ponies.
