SYDENHAM SCHOOL.

The monthly meeting of the Sydenham School Committee was held in the school-room. Those present were Messrs J. G. Brown (chairman), .T. Pratt, W. Llovd. M. Webb. G. Bishop. H. M. Drewerv, J. Butterfield and G. Milne. An apology was read from Mr Fletcher. The headmaster reported that the roll ! number stood at 931 with an averoge attendance of 92 per cent. The attendance .though satisfactory, would have been better had it not been for a recurrence of influenza, which affected some classes. It was decided to hold a fancy dress carnival on Saturday.
