MUSICAL SOCIETY.

Dance to Assist Garden Party Funds. Afembers of the Royal Christchurch Alusical Society have been arranging a series of social gatherings to raise funds for their garden party to be held in December. One of these gatherings, which took the form of a dance, was held in the St John Ambulance rooms last evening and proved most enjoyable. The committee members whose zeal contributed largely to the evening’s success were Alesdames Jorv and C. Gallop, Alisses K. Fulton, J. Irvine r.nd K. Clayton, Alessrs F. Lawson (chairman), R. C. Stone, Denham and 11. Sweney (organiser). The dance music was supplied by Aliss Mary Nolan’s orchestra. Exhibition dances were given by Miss Betty Carnochan and Air Percy Geddes. Those present included: Mesdames J. E. Russell, S. G. Lake, Q. Adcock, J. Jones, C. Hooker, F. R. King, A. J. Denmead, FI. Charman. T. A. Harvey, L. Cox, .T. Fraser, H. Williams, W. S. Grigg, H. Wormald and A. R. Batchelor; Misses Rona Cadman, J. Adcock, E. A. Collett. Dorothy Roberts, E. Grieve, Winton Grieve, Doris Fulton, L. Batch, Mavis Adley, Dorothy Weston, Lylie Shore, Phyllis Newth, J. M’Ennis, Mollie Budge, Myra Lash, Betty Gray, Kan Lyon, Jean Perrott, W. Wickham, Ivy Wilson, Irene Dyer, R. Eliott, Beatrice Dowling. D. Eliott. Gwen Collins, Evelyn Poison. B. Anderson. Jessie Gallagher, Ellis Gilders, Xgairie Templeton and C. Napper. -
