World Champions to Play at Wilding Park. The unique opportunity .of seeing two world tennis champions in action at Wilding Park will be offered to Christchurch enthusiasts to-morrow and on Saturday afternoon. Both F. J. Perry and Miss Dorothy Round hold the Wimbledon singles titles at the present time, as well as those of other nations. Associated with them on this tour are three other British players of note in G. P. Hughes and Misses E. M. Dearman and N. M. Lyle. Amongst the New Zealand players whom the British team will meet are C. Angas. H. A. Barnett. H. Dymond. T. Rhodes-Williams and D. G. France, the Wellington player who gave such an outstanding exhibition in the Auckland matches with the Englishmen. Miss E. Rudkin, the present Canterbury champion, and Miss Thelma Poole will represent the local women players. All these players can be expected to make a good showing, and the resulting matches should be of outstanding interest. The GoA*ernor-General will attend on Saturday afternoon. Special arrangements have been , made by the Canterbury Lawn Tennis j Association for the large crowds that j will attend Wilding Park. The after- : noon tea arrangements include the j erection of an extra marquee at 'the east end of the south stand. No park-I ing will be permitted in the enclosure.
