COMPLETE DISGUISE.

Alterations to a Stolen Bicycle. Three months’ hard labour was the sentence passed on Norman Croft, 22 years of age, of Racecourse Road, a cycle builder, who appeared on remand in the Police Court this morning, charged with stealing, on August 16 last, a bicycle valued at £7, the property of Hector Btimand. “ The machine was the most completely disguised bicycle that has come under the notice of Constable Dunn »n a long experience of bicycle thefts,’* said Senior-Sergeant Fox. “ Only a mechanic, such as the accused, could have altered the machine so. The size of the head was reduced from six to five inches, parts were sawn off and thrown into the river, it was repainted, and other extensive alterations were carried out. The cycle cost £3 to recondition.”
