NEW STAGE PLAY.
“Waltzes From Vienna” Begins Thursday. The fine musical play. “ The Dubarry,” will conclude its season at the Theatre Royal to-morrow night. There will be a matinee to-morrow afternoon. On Thursday night, the J. C. Williamson, Ltd.. Opera Company will present the musical comic opera, “ Waltzes from Vienna,” which in Wellington proved as popular as “ The Dubarry.” and attracted large audiences. “ Waltzes from Vienna ” certainly, if one may go by reports, presents " the brilliant young London actress and singer. Sylvia Welling. to great advantage, and this also applies to other principal members of the company. In “Waltzes from Vienna” there is no musical comedy music to listen to. Instead there are pretty sentimental airs which recall blossoms, crinolines, brass bands and amorous waltzes. The story is an agreeable mixture of fact and fiction.
