TWO GOOD PICTURES.
Edmund Gwenn is starred in “ Marooned,” the principal attraction at the Liberty Theatre this week. With the plot . working out in a storm-bound lighthouse, “ Marooned ” is plentifully supplied with drama, but at no time dees it overstep the bounds of possibility, the excellent character portrayals of the players being sufficient to provide entertainment of a high order. Romance and comedy are blended in the drama. "As the Earth Turns.” a human story of farm life in the United States, is the second attraction. Jean Muir and Donald Woods head a big cast of actors, and the story of the reactions of different families to nature s vagaries is deeply interesting.
