CLEM DAWE’S REVUE.
The Show of Shows.” a combinat.on of original sketches, music, song and dancing, which goes with a swing rom beginning to end, is offered nightly by Clem Dawe and his merry band at St James Theatre. The programme is one of the brightest that this very talented company has presented in its Christchurch season, and there is a welcome freshness about all the items. Clem Dawe is in his best form in leading the funmaking, and his numerous sketches are both clever and entertaining. Dorothy White, soubrette, is an excellent partner for the comedian in a number of his* appearances, and Les White, ■ iff Edgley and Joe Shriner provide capable support. Muriel O’Malley 'contralto) and Ann Luciano (soprano) entertain again at the piano, and are particularly pleasing in “Plantation Memories.” Hallidav and Watson make several appearances, one of their best numbers being “ The Hoop Waltz.” which is presented with pretty effects A special ladies’ gift matinee will be featured at 2.15 on Wednesday.
