CARNIVAL BALL.
Templeton Parishioners Entertain. HALL GAILY DECORATED. The Oddfellows’ Hall, Templeton, was the scene recently of a successful carnival ball in aid of the parish funds of the Roman Catholic Church. The decorations were gaily carried out with lemon and green streamers, baloons and greenery. During the evening the Rev Father Madden thanked those present for the support they- had given, and congratulated the committee on the successful way' they had carrier out the arrangements. Miss Betty Carnochan and her partner, Mr Percy- Geddes, gave an exhibition of tap dancing. The winner of a box of chocolates was Miss Nora Carey and an iced cake was won by Mr D. Newell, Miss Lexie Watson won the snowball dance. Miss Eunice Humphreys and partner were the winners of the Monte Carlo, and Miss •Mavis Dixon and partner won the lucky spot dance. Messrs T.
