FAREWELL PARTY.
Miss Lesley Hay was hostess last evening at her home in Rolleston Avenue at a farewell party-in honour of Miss Betty Guthrie, who will leave next month for England, where her i marriage will take place. A number of amusing games and competitions, among them being push patience and the writing of limericks, kept everybody entertained. Miss Hay’s attractive frock was of violet velvet and Miss Guthrie wore olive green crinkle crepe, her frock being fastened with diamante buckles at neck and waist. Daffodils and pink tulips made lovelv decorations in the drawing room and on the supper table. The guests were: Misses Betty Guthrie, Gendi Maling, Philippa Acland, Prue Wynn-Williams, Agatha Upham, June Wright, Joan Cooper, Dorothy Louglman, Lois Ollivier, Elisabeth Alpers, Elisabeth Acland, Katrine Loughnan. Nancy Gard'ner. Elizabeth Harris, Barbara Bloxam, Chrystobel Bowen, Margaret Cooper, Joan Gard’ner and • Ann Cooper.
