Some Collections and Reflections. BY ONE OF THE BOYS. For August Tramway Board vehicles were involved in eighteen accidents. This is mainly due to the inability of motorists and others to climb verandah and light poles when they meet trams running on the wrong side. Several more burglories have occurred in the city. The police are searching the schools for sleep-walking children. A cargo of bananas is due by the Maui Pomare. It is expected this cargo, as usual, will cause a considerable loss to all who handle the goods. “ They say every Jack has his Jill.” “ Yes, but I’ll bet most of them would rather make it a pint.” Dolly: “ Poor old Teddy met with an accident yesterday. He was kicked by a horse.” Polly: “You don’t say so? How too terribly obsolete.” “ But I’ve signed your book before,” said the fairly distinguished film actor. “ Yes, sir, but when I get ten of yours I can swap them for one of George Arliss.” Two men who had been bachelor cronies met for the first time in five years. “ Tell me, Tom,” said one, “ did you marry that girl, or do you still darn your own socks and do your own cooking “ Yes,” was Tom’s reply.
