Kingsford Smith Returns to Sydney. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. / SYDNEY, October 1. Sir Charles Kingsfor-d Smith has returned. He landed at Mascot Aerodrome at 1.20 p.m. Mechanics are working throughout the night replacing the severelv damaged aluminium cowling. Sir Charles, who is unable to explain the cause cf the mishap, states that he may have struck a. bird. He hopes to get away again on Wednesday morning, at the latest, in order to be able to take part in the race on October 20.
