WEDDINGS.

Celebrated at Lyttelton Recently. lIUCKLE—GALLAHER. The marriage was solemnised at St Joseph’s Church, Lyttelton, recently of Lucy Agnes, second daughter of Mr James Gallaher and the late Mrs Gallaher, of Christchurch, and Francis. I 3 r oungest son of Mr and Mrs G. F. Ruckle, Lyttelton. The Rev Father Cooney officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a graceful frock of ivory lace. The godets in the skirt were trimmed with tiny frills of georgette. The veil, which was trimmed with lace to tone with the frock, fell from a pearl coronet into soft folds, forming a slight train. She carried a sheaf of lilies. Her attendants were her sister. Miss; Elsie Gallaher. Wellington, and Miss Eileen Ruckle, sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed alike in blue and pink lace frocks, trimmed with organdie roses. They wore picture hats to tone, and their bouquets were made of h} r acinths. Mr Daniel Ruckle was best man, and the groomsman was Mr Robert Taylor, of Lyttelton. A reception was held at the home of the bridegroom’s parents. Mrs Ruckle received the guests wearing a charming frock of black crinkle crepe relieved with black and white georgette. Her black hat was of taigel straw, and she carried a posv of anemones. Mr and Mrs F. Ruckle will make their future home in Wellington. KILLICK —TAY LOR. The marriage was celebrated last Wednesday evening at St Andrew s Presbyterian Church of Freda May, only daughter of Mr and Mrs E. B. Taylor, to Thomas Frederick, elder son of Mr and Mrs F. T. Killick, both of Christchurch. The Rev J. Lawson Robinson performed the. ceremony, and Mr R. E. Lake presided at the organ. The church was beautifuly decorated with lilies, spring flowers and foliage. The bride, who was given away by her father, chose a fitting gown of ivory windswept crepe flaring from the knees to ground-length. The simplycut bodice was inset with lace and caught on the shoulders with clusters of orange blossom, while the cowl sleeves of lace were tight-fitting from the elbow. Her dainty embroidered veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom. lier trailing bouquet was of freesias, hothouse flowers and hyacinths. On leaving the church she was presented with a satin horseshoe by her nephew, Master Terence Taylor. Her only attendant was Miss Dulcie Wilkes, of Invercargill, who wore a ground-length frock of corn-coloured windswept crepe with a high cowl neckline, finished at the back with tiny buttons and a bow. The skirt fell full from the knees. She also wore a large hat of the same pretty shade. Her bouquet was of flowers to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Edward Walsh as best man. The guests were later received at a reception at Dixieland by Mrs Taylor and Mrs Killick. The bride’s mother wore a black and lemon sand-crepe ensemble and a black hat trimmed with lemon, and her bouquet was of pansies, laccenalia and freesias. A pretty frock of brown figured crepe de chine was worn by the bridegroom’s mother, with a brown faced cloth coat and a matching hat. Her bouquet was of marigolds and abutilions to tone. Later the bride donned a swagger suit of wine crinkle crepe and a biscuit coloured hat, and carried a wine faced cloth coat. OLSON—HARRISON. The wedding took place at Roly Trinity Church, Greymouth, on Saturday afternoon of Miss Frances Harrison, of Blaketown, to Mr Thomas Olson of Preston Road. Archdeacon J. A Jermyn officiated. The bride wore a brown ensemble with hat and accessories to tone. She was attended by Miss Annie Olson, who w’ore a frock of brown and gold figured georgette and a Dolly Yarden hat. Mr J. Olson was best man.
