BRIGHTON RELIEF WORKERS
A meeting of workers under the No. 5 sHipms was held under the auspices of the New Brighton Suh-Committee of tho Canterbury Unemployed Workers* Association yesterday morning. It was decided that the president (Nlr 11. Burns nd) and the secretnrv wait on the Advisory Board as soon as iV.ssible and ask that the No. n men working on the links he paid at standard rates. It was also decided that the deputation ask that men employed on the greens and fairways on Sundays be paid by the Advisory Board and not out of national funds as these duties would have to be carried out in any case.
