BOXING.
To-night’s International Bout. Considerable interest is being shown in the international professional ban-tam-weight fight to be staged at the St James Theatre by the Christchurch Sports Club this evening between Dal Costa, the New South Wales champion, and George Wright, New Zealand titleholder, which will be of fifteen threeminute rounds. Both boxers have gone through a very solid preparation and yesterday were resting. Percy Hawes, who is reported to be back to his best form, will meet Con Brosnahan. the speedy Ashburton feather-weight, over a journey of ten three-minute rourtfls. The professional bouts will be preceded by the following amateur contests:— Norman Fisher, the Canterbury featherweight title-holder, v. J. Currie, of Timo.ru; Roy Lester, of Lyttelton, v. Vivian Thomas, the w’•*» ner of the light and welter-weight contests at the last tournament held here: the Maori lad. Pitia Pepenia, v. It. Rothwell. and S. Mitchell v. J. Amtman as an emergency bout if required. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the first bout will begin at eight o'clock. Reserves and doy sales may be obtained at Lange's, United Service Buildings.
