He blundered at the sixth arid unseated his rider, who had a heavy fall but escaped injury. Cargen (R. E. Thomson), Invictus (M. Caul) and Esteem (C. Thomson) were associated ror a school over four hurdles. Esteem, who showed no liking for his task, soon dropped well behind and jumped in slovenly style. ; The other two performed satisfactorily, Cargen impressing the more. Huntique (It. Drinkwater) and Revision (I. Tucker) set out on a similar task. Revision came a “ purler ” at the second. Huntique then eased up. He. jumped the other two at a very slow <>tice, and probably for that reason did not shape well. Tucker was not hurt, and he remounted Revision. The pair then had another go at the four hurdles, and this time did much better. Verden is a dasher over hurdles, out he met his match at that game this morning in Arcade. H. Turner rad<' Verden and G. Murfitt Arcade. The latter gave a brilliant display. Verden hit the last two. He took pit half n length behind at the final obstacle and Turner was nearly unseated. The others completed the round, and then jumped Cutts’s fence again. At the finish Riotous was just in front of the other two. All g-ave a good exhibition, except that Callamart was not too sure of Cutts’s fence each time. On the course proper, Andy jumped the sod wall and the post and rails, shaping well. Snowy d’Or and Tentcall started off to do two rounds of schooling practice. Thev completed one round all right, but at the sod wall the second time Tentcall fell. Snowy d’Or went on and completed his task. Taura Lad, ridden by Jenkins, and Currajong, ridden by C. Thomson, started at the top of the straight for a school. Currajong fell at the first of the double. They tried again later, starting along the hack, but Currajong fell at the sod wall, the second fence. Taura Lad completed the round safely.
