At the . monthly meeting of the St Martins Public Library Committee Mr J. E. Jones presided. The financial statement showed. - Subscriptions, £l6; 3 S 3d: Sale of papers, 3s; fines. 2‘- ■ total, £l6 8s 3d. During the nonth sixteen new subscribers; had enrolled. The following books were nlaced on the shelves: Fiction 49, non-fiction. 14. juvenile 4, replacements 5; total, 72. Eighty hooks were repaired by the ladies. Twenty pounds was allocated for the purchase of new books. It was decided to send a parcel of magazines and napers to the Public Works camp at Little River.
