TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.
Mrs Basil- Shaw, Albury, is visiting Hawera. Mr and Mrs A. E. Blair, Outram, are guests at the Grosvenor. Miss Hope Pinckney, Glenaray, Southland, is visiting Timaru. Miss M. O’Brien, Christchurch, and Miss Bunz, Christchurch, are guests at the Grosvenor. Mrs Alister Mackenzie, Clayton Station. Fairlie, is visiting Wellington for the Women’s Institute Conference. Miss Mary Cleland, daughter of Mr j James Cleland, Bidwill Street, will be a debutante at the Hunt Club ball. Mr and Mr John Grigg. Longbeach, will arrive at the end of this week to stay with Mrs John Barker, Four Peaks. Mrs Sinclair-Thomson, The Crossing. Geraldine, who was the guest of Mrs Sinclair-Thomson, Wellington, has returned home. Mr R. Davison and Mrs H. Davison, Lowry Peaks, Culverden, will be the guests of Mrs O. H. Porritt for the Hunt Club ball and races.
