PRIZE-RING STORY.
Max Baer Has Lead in “ Every Woman’s Man.”
“No More Women” will be presented finally to-morrow night at the Majestic Theatre. Max Baqr, Myrna Loy, Primo Car nera. Jack Dempsey, Walter Huston and Otto Kruger comprise the distin guished group of actors and sportinj personalities gathered together for th championship picture, “ Every Woman’s Man,” which wdll begin at the Majestic Theatre on Saturday. Writing of this splendid show a northern critic said: Even the final quarter of “ Every, Woman’s Man ” would be sufficient to fill any theatre for many days, for it is j practically a boxing match for the! world’s heavy-weight title between the ; two men, Baer and Camera, who actually did contest the title at New York recently. This film does not depend entirely on its sporting interest, but it is in effect one of the greatest sporting stories that have yet been transferred to the screen, and in it those who have not yet made the acquaintance of Max Baer, the world’s heavy-weight boxing champion, will find him continually in 1 the picture as the hero. Whether Hollywood will make or break Baer is a question that is bound to be argued over and over again in the next few months, but there can be no doubt that this German-American from California who has a decided Jewish strain in his family tree, certainly also has a flair for the motion-picture business. In addition to the two outstanding figures in the boxing world to-day, Baer and Carnera, such great men of the past in the game as Dempsey, Jeffries, Papke and Willard, make an appearance at one stage in the picture in such manner that one is enabled to make comparisons between their physical stature and that of Camera and Baer. “ Every Woman’s Man ” has everything that makes a most interesting love story. j A magnificent supporting programme will include Laurel and Hardy’s latest comedy, “ Their First Mistake,” and a film showing episodes from the second cricket Test match at Lord’s between England and Australia. Box plans at the D.I.C.
