CUT RESTORED

Board Gains Minister’s Approval. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 25. After seeking the advice of the Minister of Internal Agairs, the Auckland Fire Board decided to-day to restore half of the ten per cent cut in the salaries, wages and allowances of its permanent auxiliary and volunteer staffs. The Minister said that he had no objection to restoration, provided the estimated expenditure to which his approval had been given was not exceeded. The board decided on restoration, which will cost £9OO in the full year. The restoration will take effect on October 1.
