WEDDING.

Pickett—Forster. The Rev J. Lawson Rotmson officiated at the marriage of Edna Noreen. youngest daughter of the late Professor and Airs W. Forster, and Samuel, eldest son of Mr and Airs J. Pickett, of Christchurch. The ceremony took place at St Andrew’s Church. The bride, who was escorted by her sister, wore a close-fitting frock of cornflower blue, smartly relieved with contrasting striped silk of blue and red, which formed the small collar and piping of the rever. Her blue felt hat, worn at a smart tilt, was caught at the back with a blue and red feather quill. She carried a posy of blue and red flovrers. Mrs Eric Selby, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honour. Her frock of oyster grey sand crepe was relieved with blue and finished with a small shoulder cape. She wore a blue felt hat to tone and carried a posy of blue and lemon flowers. Air Eric Selby was best man. On leaving the church the bride was presented with two lucky horseshoes by Norma Bird (niece of the bridegroom) and Agnes Delaney. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s sister, Airs N. F. Schroeder, Aliddleton, who received her guests weiring a grey tailored coat over a smart frock of henna, with a fur felt hat to tone. Her shoulder spray was violets and maidenhair fern. For travelling the bride had chosen a blue frock with a close-fitting blue hat finished with a smart bow. Her coat of clerical grey was trimmed with a skunk opossum collar.
