Maindonald (13) beat Mrs A. Boon (19), 2 and 1; Mrs L. Smith (IS) beat Miss M. Todd (29), 1 up; Miss K. Dobson (21) beat Miss F. Low (26), 4 and 3. The next round is to be played on or before August 5. Entries for a two-life knock-out competition for players of handicap 30 and over (for trophy presented by Miss E. L. Sapsford) close with the secretary next Saturday. Kaiapoi v. Rangiora. An inter-club match, the Kaiapoi Club against Rangiora. was won by Rangiora by 41 games to 35.
