HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION
Mr Anderson Farewelled by Council. The council of the Historical Association met at morning tea this morning at Ballantynes to farewell one of the vice-presidents, Mr A. K. Anderson, headmaster of St Andrew's College. Mr Anderson, who will leave early next month for England, will take up his- new position in Sydney at the New Year. The presentation of a volume of New Zealand history was made to Mr Anderson by Dr James Hight, president of the Historical Association. Dr Hight made mention of the valuable work done by Mr Anderson for the association, and on behalf of the members wished him every success in his new sphere. In reply, Mr Anderson spoke of the help he had received from Dr Might in his work, and of the cultural value of the meetings of the association.
present were Mr and Mrs A K. Anderson, Misses Alice Candy, M. B. Roberton, Plimsoll, G. Merton, Dr J. Hight, Messrs L. R. Denny, E R. Webb and A J. Campbell.
