Full-back Emergency.

Dear Sir, —I should like to point out Mr Harris that he hss omitted to pick an emergency' full-back. If (and one hopes not) Nolan’s leg goes, naturally M’Phail will come on, and he does not inspire anyone at any time as a last line. llis exhibition when playing in that position la*;t y'car left us a man short. There is Bullivant play'ing better this year than M’PhJil has ever played. He can go as wing, centre or full-back and be at home in any' of the positions. He has more speed and can kick.—l am, etc., RED AND BLACK.
