“MEET MY SISTER.”

Clifford Mollison Has Lead in British Farce. “ White Ensign ” will be shown finally to-night at the Theatre Royal. Featuring England's gay young comedian. Clifford Mollison, Jimmy Godden and charming Constance Shotter, “ Meet My Sister,” which will head the new programme at the Theatre Royal to-morrow, is a veritable whirlwind of hilarity arising out of a scandalous mix-up in a bedroom scene. The story concerns a young bachelor peer, Lord Victor Wilby, who, engaged to “ marry millions,” decides to spend his last week-end of “ freedom ” in Paris. He sets out for the gay city, but a violent storm causes the cancellation of the cross-Channel services, and it is a very disgruntled bride-groom-to-be who returns home to his flat. Meanwhile, the same storm has drenched to the skin a certain charming young lad\', who had called “to collect ” some of the debts owed by Lord \ ictor, and the valet, assuring her of his master’s absence for a few days, had persuaded her to stay and dry her clothes. Thus when the hero arrives a “ perfect ” stranger is asleep in his bed. So far, so good, but unfortunately for Victor, his ladylove decides on that evening of all evenings to visit him. This starts a most convulsing series of complications. And when it is pointed out that before the fun is over, the “ hero ” has three sisters, and only one of them genuine, all mixed up in his love troubles, picture-goers can imagine some of the laughs in store. Box plans at the D.I.C.
