The selection of Mr C. Morgan Williams as the official candidate to contest the Kaiapoi seat at the next election was announced at a meeting of the North Canterburv Labour Representation Committee evening. Mr II M’Oaw presided over an attendance of sixty delegates. It was also stated that Mr Williams had been elected on the second count, and that his nomination had been endorsed bv the national executive of the Labour Party The question of nominating a candi date to contest the Hufunui seat was discussed and it was decided to communicate with the national executive regarding the matter.
