FAMILY REMANDED.
Police Raid on Auckland House. COUNTERFEITING ALLEGED. Per Press Assoclatlon. ♦AUCKLAND. July 3. Gwendoline Bishop. 47 years of age, Denniston Leonard Bishop, 19 years of age, and William Leonard Bishop, 51 years of age, who was described as a builder, appeared before the Police Court to-day. having been arrested yesterday following a police raid on a house in Remuera. Mrs Bishop was charged with having in her possession three or more pieces of counterfeit coin with intent to utter. The father and son were each charged with having in their possession a mould intended to make a rcremblance of both sides of a current coin. On the application of the police all three were remanded until July 12. Their counsel asked that the woman should be allowed out on bail as she had two other children, aged nine and twelve years respectively. The Magistrate ordered the woman to enter the Salvation Army Home, where her children were cared for last night, and to remain there till the case was heard.
