“Devil Tiger”-and “Olsen’s
Big Moment.”
Thrills and mirth are offered at the Liberty Theatre this week, the featured films being “ Devil Tiger ” and “ Olsen’s Big Moment.” “ Devil Tiger ” shows the adventures of three whites—two men and a girl—who take a safari into the Malayan jungle in search of a man-eating tiger. But these humans and their troubles are dwarfed by the immensity of the eternal struggle of the jungle—the struggle for the survival of the fittest. Many thrilling fights between jungle beasts are shown, chief among them being one between a lion and a tiger. In “ Olsen’s Big Moment ” El Brendal, as Olsen, performs in his inimitable style, and he is ably supported by Walter Catlett. A Fox Movietone Xewsreel completes the programme.
A special film of the first cricket Test match. England v_ Australia, is now screening at this theatre.
