Car Conversion.
Dear Sir,—This class of crime continues unchecked. To all our requests for more appropriate penalties the Government has turned a deaf ear. The motorists of New Zealand have again and again, and yet again urged the Government to take a serious view of the problem without result; notwithstanding the fact that the Press in the Dominion has also raised its voice against the futility of the existing May I. on behalf -of the motorists of the South Island, ask you to again help us in drawing public attention to the position. —I am. etc., FRED W.
