HEATHCOTE BURGESSES.

The first annual meeting of the Heathcote Valley Burgesses’ Association was held in the school-room on Monday evening. Air A. Bloxham presided over an attendance of fifteen members. The annual report and balance-sheet recording a successful year were read and adopted and gratification was expressed with the improvements made as a result of the association’s activities. A credit balance of £5 19s 5d was reported. The election of officers for the ensuing y*ear resulted: President, Mr Silcock; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Cogle and W. Harvey; secretary and treasurer, Mr F. Ellis; committee, Messrs Ramon, Bliss, N. G. Collins, S. Radcliffe, E. Ellis, A. Bloxham and R. Bloxham. On a notice of motion the subscription, was reduced from 2s 6d to Is per annum. It was decided to ask Mr Flavell to address a public meeting on the question of a cheaper electricity supply at a date to be arranged.
