June 26 On the recommendation of the Minister of Defence the Federal Cabinet has decided to appoint a Royal < ommission to investigate the invaliding and discharge of Lieutenant-Command-er A. D. Casey from the Royal Australian Navy. Casey took his life after he had been discharged and his relatives have since sought an inquiry into the circumstances of his dismissal, which, it is claimed, contributed to his death. Casey received no compensation when he was dismissed.
