FOOTBALL BROADCASTS.
Difference Between Union and Board. Per Prop* Association WELLINGTON, May 23. " Race meetings clash with football matches occasionally in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin,” said Mr E. C. Hands, general manager of the Broadcasting Board, to-day with reference to the Wellington Rugby Union’s attitude over Satui/ay’s broadcasting. Mr Hands said that on such occasions football broadcasts had been interrupted to describe races. There had been no complaint of any kind from any of the unions or officials till Saturday, when the usual arrangements were being carried out. The matter was one that should be capable of amicable settlement. (An earlier report appears on Page 4.)
