BROADCASTING CONTROL

Removal of Restrictions Advocated.

At a meeting of the Canterbury Trades and Labour Council on Saturday evening it was decided to write to the Postmaster-General, the Hon Adam Hamilton, urging that for the purpose of providing for the fullest possible education of the people, the commun-ity-owned wireless system should be free of restrictions, so that there could be critical two-sided treatment of vital social questions of the day.

The council further endorsed the appeal being made for funds to provide a memorial for the late Mr H. E. Holland, Leader of the Opposition.
