TWO INJURED.
tor-cyclist and Piilion Passenger. A motor-cyclist and a girl on the pillion seat of the machine were both injured about the head when involved in a collision with a motor-car in Essex Street yesterday afternoon. The rider of the motor-cycle was Ilall aged twenty years, of 69, I morel Street, and on the pillion was Jean Wright, of 55, Ferry Road. Both were admitted to the Christchurch Hospital at 3.10 p.m. yesterday, end last evening were reported to be progressing satisfactorily.
Collision With Horses. Injuries to the face and head were sustained by Mr S. Chetwin. Selwyn Street, last evening, when his motorcar came into collision with two horses that were straying on the road. Mr Chetwin was driving along Selwyn Street in a northerly direction when the collision occurred. lie was cut about the face and head by the flying glass from the broken windscreen. Mr Chetwin was taken to the Hospital by the St John ambulance, and after receiving treatment at the outpatients department he was able to go home. Footballer Injured. D. Rix, Sprevdon, received a kick in the eve while playing for Mason Struthers Rugby team against Oxford on Saturdav. He was attended to at the Public Hospital, four stitches being inserted, and later proceeded to his home. His condition is satisfactory.
