“YOUTH FOR CHRIST.”
Second Rally Held at
Woolston,
Despite adverse weather conditions, a successful rally of the youth of the Woolston district churches was held on Saturday evening in St Peter’s, M’Donald Hall, Aldwin’s Road. This was the second rally. The evening was under the leadership of the Rev R. A. Day, of the Opawa Baptist Church. Bible Class members representing the following churches were present: Woolston Anglican. Methodist, Presbyterian; Opawa Anglican. Methodist, Presbyterian; Phillipstown Anglican. Community singing, items and games provided an atmosphere of friendliness and co-operation which has characterised the campaign throughout the city. An instructive talk was given by the Rev R. de Rambert, who outlined the aim of the campaign, pointing out that
“ prayer ” and “ push ” were the keys to its success. Mr R. G. Anderson explained various details of organisation. Supper was served by the ladies.
