BOXING TOURNEY.
Considerable. Interest is being shown in the professional feather-weight title bout to be fought in the Caledonian Hall to-morrow night between Percy Hawes and Clarrie Rayner. Both men are reported to be at the peak of their form. The distance is fifteen three-minute rounds, and there should be no end or thrills. Rayner is confident of retaining the title, whereas his opponent expresses equal faith in his ability to regain the coveted honour. In addition to the title bout the following amateur contests are scheduled for decision: G. Row v. P. Price. Stoker Swan (H.M.S. Dunedin) v. N. Moulin. E. Fail v. D. J. M. Golver. and N. Fisher v. A. J. Hawes. The following emergencies will be ready to step into the ring if time allows: J. Hunter v. J. Patterson and J. Amtman v. P. Campbell.
