T*, 1 ® President! Mr C. S. Thomas, presided, and was supported by Air Geo vice-president, and Mr R. A. Malcolm, a director. During the evening new members were elected. The programme for the evening was arranged by Messrs A. Macquarrie and t raser, two directors of the societv, and the following contributed items:— by T s, h ® SO( ;mty’s Pipe Band; SS T ' fr'Lsie Staples; Highland fling, Miss Jean Potts; song, Mr Ernest Kogers; skipping rope dance. Miss Pe&gy Storrar; song, Mrs 11. Cordery; swords, Miss Joyce Sawtell; song. Mr A. Macquarrie; seann triubhais, Miss Daphne Fowler; musical sketch, Miss Berwyn Frye; cornet solo, Air Roy Simpson; song, Mr lan Fraser; Highland reel. Misses J. Potts, P. Storrar. J. Sawtell and D. Fowler. The accompanists for the evening were Mrs A MacNeat'e S ’ Mr G ‘ C ‘ Russell and Miss M. During the evening fifteen minutes were spent in community singing, and was greatly enjoyed by those present After the concert, dancing was indulged in to the music of Murphy’s Orchestra.
