Baron Kuratomi has resigned owing to ili-health from the Presidency of the Privy Council, the Emperor’s powerful advisory body on treaties and other important affairs. Hi? successor is Baron Ikki, ex-Minister of the Imperial Household, who is a firm-handed moderatist.
