INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS.
The first general meeting of tlie recently formed Canterbury International Relations Club was held in the Y.W.C.A. lounge. Mr C. H. Cole presiding over a good attendance of members. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President. Mr C. It. Cole: vice-president. Mr C. Madsen: secretary. Mr N. C. Bradley: treasurer, Mr L. Efford. Syllabus and social committees were also elected, and the conveners of these committees. together with the officers and Messrs J. Steenhart, Kartun and W. Wall, constitute the executive. After the business had been disposed of. members relaxed in the eninymmi of a social hour, and some excellent entertainment was provided in the following items:—Dancing, Miss IT. Jacobsen: piano. Miss N. Hopkins; songs. Miss .T. Lilli Ott: vocal duet. Misses N. Gray and M. Taylor: elocutionary, Miss M. Barker and Miss T. Burke. A welcome conclusion was a daintv supper provided by the ladies, and to them and to those contributing items, an enthusiastic vote of thanks was ac-i : corded by acclamation.
