TAI TAPU GOLF CLUB.
First Dance a Great Success. The Tai Tapu Hall was the scene of a very festive gathering last evening, when the Tai Tapu Golf Club held its first annual dance, which proved most successful. The committee responsible for the excellent organisation comprised; Mesdames J. M’Kenzie (secretary), A. W. Parrott, J. Bain, W. G. M’Artney, R. Templeton, J. Rennie, I. Weston, G. Stoddart, D. M’Donald and Misses Edna M’Artney and Annie Welsh. The hall was artistically decorated with hanging lanterns and baskets of French marigolds, while window boxes of mixed flowers and posters of floral design on the walls added further colour to the scheme. Music was provided by Fritz Seymour’s band. Among the guests were many friends of the members from nearby districts and a number who had motored out from Christchurch.
